White Water is for people who want their Scottish adventure to involve real white water — not just looking at rivers from the bank.
Over nine days you’ll tackle some of Scotland’s finest white water rivers, including a full-day rafting trip on the River Tay with Splash White Water Rafting, a guided kayaking adventure on the River Orchy with Kayak Scotland, and a canyoning day in Glen Nevis with Vertical Descents. Between the bigger sessions you’ll have time for self-directed water activities like wild swimming, gorge walking, and relaxed paddling.
The pace is deliberately balanced — big days on the water followed by proper recovery time back at camp. Boof is the ideal van for this trip, with his roof rack for kayaks, large secure rear space for wet gear, and excellent off-grid capability for wild camping right next to the rivers.
We built Boof specifically for this kind of trip. He carries a roof rack designed for kayaks and SUP boards, and his solar panels fold up and out from the side of the high-top so off-grid capability is never compromised. The rear zone is large, secure, and easy to clean — ideal for wet gear after a day on the river — with a built-in compressor for inflating SUP boards and kayaks. This tour is designed around wild camping wherever possible, so you can wake up right next to the rivers you’re paddling.
While Boof is our top recommendation for White Water, Madison, Dobbie, and Frosty are also very capable on these routes. In fact, all of our vans make excellent road trippers.
This is proper adventure. You’ll get wet, you’ll get tired, and you’ll come back wanting more.
Rafting, kayaking or canyoning trips on selected rivers, SUP Boards and paddles, safety equipment, and qualified guides where required.
The Fortnight runs between 9–13 nights. The Week runs between 4–6 nights - just drop activies to suit your time frame. Add extra nights on the road if you like — just let us know and settle the difference on your return.
We designed and built these vans specifically to make this experience the best it can be. Each one brings something different to the journey.
All of our vans are excellent road trippers, but the ones listed above are particularly well suited to this tour.
