Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 30 July 2026

1. About us

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with Upcycled Vans Ltd (company number SC889584), registered in Scotland (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Our registered office is in Edinburgh, Scotland. You can contact us at hello@upcycledvans.com or on +44 800 820 3494.

2. Making a booking

All bookings are subject to availability and our acceptance. A booking is confirmed once we have received your deposit (or full payment where required) and sent you a confirmation email.

The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all members of the party are aware of and agree to these terms.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are correct at the time of publishing but may change. The price confirmed at the time of booking is the price you will pay.

A deposit is usually required to secure a booking. The balance is due at the time stated in your booking confirmation. Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of your booking.

4. Changes by you

If you wish to change your booking (dates, van, number of people, etc.), we will do our best to accommodate the change. Any changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

5. Cancellation by you

If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing (email is acceptable). Cancellation charges will apply as follows:

  • More than 60 days before departure: Deposit is non-refundable
  • 30–60 days before departure: 50% of total price
  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of total price

We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover cancellation.

6. Cancellation or changes by us

We reserve the right to cancel or change a tour in exceptional circumstances (for example, severe weather, safety concerns, or if we do not have enough bookings). In such cases we will offer you an alternative tour where possible or a full refund.

We will not be liable for any additional costs you may incur as a result of a cancellation or change made by us.

7. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you and all members of your party are fit and able to participate in the chosen tour
  • Providing accurate information when booking
  • Complying with any rules or instructions given by our team
  • Having appropriate travel insurance
  • Having a valid driving licence if you will be driving the van

8. Our liability

We will provide the services with reasonable skill and care. However, we cannot accept liability for:

  • Any loss or damage caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control
  • Any loss of enjoyment or additional expenses not directly caused by our negligence
  • Loss or damage to personal belongings (please keep valuables secure)

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

9. Insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical expenses, and personal belongings. We do not provide travel insurance.

10. Complaints

If you have a complaint during your trip, please raise it with us immediately so we have the opportunity to resolve it. If you remain unhappy, please write to us within 28 days of returning from your trip.

11. Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
